Master Joe Turner, D.C., Ph.D.

In the aftermath of September 11th, 2001, Master Turner began looking for new challenges. He found it in the calling to "give back" to his community through his passion for Martial Arts. This prompted him to leave a very lucrative position with Microsoft to focus on quality of life, family, and his community. We are proud to be family owned, and operated, by long-time Flower Mound residents. This is the community where we chose to live, work and contribute.

Martial Arts Experience

Master Turner has been training in martial arts since 1971. The styles studied include TaeKwonDo, Shotokan, Kenpo, Judo, JuJitsu, Hapkido, and others. He has since earned the rank of 6th Degree MASTER Black Belt (#516) under world-reknowned Grandmaster J. Pat Burleson, a 4th Degree Black Belt (#2556) in Karate with the United Martial Arts Federation, under Grandmaster Armie Rizzo and Master John Atkinson, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in the Goju-Shorei Weapons System under Master Dave McNeill, Soke, the founder of the system. He is one of only a few Instructors in Texas that are authorized by Master McNeill to teach the Goju-Shorei Weapons System.

Master Turner is highly focused on being the best Instructor he can be. This was recognized on August 9, 2003 by his induction into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame for his continued commitment as a martial arts Instructor. As his knowledge of the martial arts has increased he found he still desired to know more about the human body and it's abilities. To fulfill this need for knowledge, he enrolled in the Doctorate program at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in December of 2008. His focus is on General Family Chiropractic with specialities in Pediatric and Sports related wellness.

Professional Experience

26 years experience in the Computer/Electronics Industry with positions as Engineer, Programmer, Designer, Program/Product Manager, Systems Engineering Manager, Messaging Architect and IT Manager.

Senior Manager with Microsoft Corporation as the Regional IT Manager for North America.

Numerous Engineering and/or Management roles with other companies throughout the DFW area.

Veteran of the United States Air Force, Avionics Specialist.
